Meeting Lewis and Clark with the Indians

Openshaw's and Bielefeldt's went searching historical sites on a frigid cold day. What an amazing day to think of the pioneers without the warmth of car heaters. We feel so much gratitude for their legacy of faith that prods us on when we feel like whining.
Yes, it was 5 degrees - felt much colder!

Special times as sister missionaries and senior couple missionaries say "Goodbye" to the Mormon Trail Center Director, Elder John Watson and his lovely wife, Barbara Watson. (pictured here with a young sister missionary, Sister Watson also - no relation)

Sweet Sister Harris, who's been here less than 2 weeks, is preparing her pioneer stories and scriptures to organize in her Book of Mormon for when she gives a tour. She always has a smile and a cheery word for everyone.
Sometimes tourists want to skip the tour with the sisters and just "go around on their own." These fine people do not realize they are missing out on some amazing pioneer stories they may never have opportunity to hear again as well as the opportunity to become friends with the sweetest sisters in the world. Every tour at the Mormon Trail Center is individualized and unique with a marvelous display of artifacts, including a pioneer cabin, handcart and covered wagon. The tours are truly a never to be forgotten time of learning about the history and faith of Mormon pioneers and of their countless contributions to the United States of America.
